SoLo Member Agreement
SoLo Collective (“SoLo”) was established to foster growth and support among female solopreneurs.
With the understanding of the purpose and function of SoLo and the benefits derived therefrom, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the undersigned member has reviewed the terms of this Member Agreement (“Agreement”) and agrees to the terms as outlined herein.
1. Confidentiality. In order to promote an honest and open discourse, members need to have confidence that discussions had at SoLo gatherings will be held in strict confidence. By signing this Agreement, you acknowledge the importance of protecting collective members’ privacy and agree to keep confidential information related to SoLo, including, but not limited to, information about members, topics of discussion, responses of members to topics of discussion, and issues shared by collective participants.
2. Discourse. Collective participants will receive the greatest benefit from SoLo if discussion at collective meetings and events is candid, courteous, and solution oriented. You agree to communicate in SoLo meetings and events with candor, respect, and courtesy, and to focus on solutions and problem solving.
3. Attendance. Regular attendance at collective meetings and events is imperative to foster an open and trusting community where members are invested in one another. You agree to make your best effort to attend collective meetings and events for the duration of your commitment, to arrive on time, and stay for the entire event.
4. Participation. You will derive the greatest benefit from SoLo and the wisdom and experience of fellow members if you actively participate in group discussions. Members are expected to come to collective meetings and events ready to actively participate in discussions. You understand active participation is fundamental to a successful collective and agree to come to meetings ready to participate, and present, as requested.
5. Term. The term of this agreement is one-year. Should you and SoLo agree in writing, the term may be renewed for one or more additional one-year terms.
6. Member Fee. The fee to participate in the SoLo program is $35 per month . That is payable monthly, or it may be paid annually. Annual payments are eligible for a one-month discount.
7. Termination. If you are not able to complete your twelve-month obligation, this Agreement may be terminated with thirty days’ written notice to SoLo and payment of a termination fee equal to one month’s membership fee.
8. Adult-Specific Programming. SoLo is a group for women solopreneurs to grow and develop. The collectives are designed to help members grow their businesses and reach and navigate a diverse range of issues. As such, the discussions will be focused on topics specific to that, and are not appropriate for children. Collective meetings and events are typically for adults only.
9. No Solicitation. Relationship development and networking are a critical component in the success of SoLo. Members may inevitably desire to enter into business relationships with people they have come to know and trust in the collective, but direct solicitation of members for sales or marketing purposes is not appropriate. You understand and agree that you will not solicit other participants for any reason, including but not limited to sales and marketing.
